Demetrius and I were told by so many people that the first year of marriage is the hardest. I honestly hoped for the worst since that is what we heard constantly from other married couples. I have to say that I just don't think this to be true. I don't know if it's because we lived together for many years before marriage or what, but our first year of marriage was the best year that we spent together. I do know that marriage is work and you have to give it your all, but I also know that if marriage continues on the path that it is....I will be the happiest girl in the world. I just love marriage and wish this love on everyone in the world <3!!!

Curt and I were the same way! We kept waiting for this horrible first year to happen and it never did. I guess some people don't have that great of a first year, but I think if you go into marriage with a clear idea of what you're both hoping to get out of it, there shouldn't be a problem. I just wish people didn't "warn" us and then leave us in fear for an entire year lol. Glad you and D had such a great first year! <3

Jamie, I'm so glad that you and Curt had the same experience as my husband and I did. You're right though, nobody should warn someone else about the "one year"!!! I hope we all continue on this train of love:) It's pretty amazing, huh???
